Checking eSight Alarms

Checking eSight Alarms

Maintenance personnel must periodically check eSight alarms and processes alarms based on suggestions to ensure normal eSight operation.

Reference Standard

Alarms whose alarm source is LocalNMS do not exist, or only Warning alarms exist.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the eSight.
  2. Choose Fault > Current Alarms from the main menu.
  3. Check alarms whose alarm source is LocalNMS.

    NOTE:

    To search for alarms whose alarm source is LocalNMS, you can set the filtering criteria in Filter criteria on the Current Alarms page.

Exception Handling

If Critical, Major, and Minor alarms whose alarm source is LocalNMS exist, the network system is running properly. Perform the following operations:

  1. Click the arrow before a target alarm to expand alarm details.
  2. Click More. In the Alarm Details screen that is displayed, click View details next to Proposed repair actions and clear the alarm based on suggestions.
