eSight logs include run logs, security logs, system logs, and operation logs.

Table 9-211 describes each log type on the eSight.

Run logs

Run logs record key information, especially system-level abnormal and important events, during system running and process implementation.

The run logs of the eSight help you locate faults, identify causes, and take proper measures when an exception occurs on the NMS, ensuring proper running of the eSight.

Security logs

Security logs record the operations that affecting security of the eSight, such as logging in to the eSight.

The security logs of the eSight help you learn about the user operations that affect security of the eSight and take proper measures, ensuring proper running of the eSight.

System logs

System logs record the tasks that affect the operating status of the eSight. These tasks are triggered by the eSight Web client, such as starting or executing scheduled tasks. These tasks can also be triggered by the eSight server, such as starting or stopping the eSight service.

The system logs of the eSight helps you find the factors that affecting running and take proper measures, ensuring the proper running of the eSight.

Operation logs

Operation logs record all operations irrelevant to eSight security.

The operation logs of the eSight help you learn about the operations that eSight users perform on the eSight Web client and troubleshoot faults.
