Clearing eSight Server Disk Space

Clearing eSight Server Disk Space

This section describes how to clear disk space in a timely manner to ensure that the storage space of the eSight server is sufficient.

Impact on the System

The eSight service data fails to be saved and a database exception occurs.

If the disk usage exceeds the threshold (default: 80%), eSight will generate the ALM-505001003 High Usage of File System alarm.

Reference Standard

The eSight server disk usage does not exceed 80%.

  1. Log in to the eSight server as the operating system administrator.
  2. Delete unnecessary files.

    • In Linux, the command for deleting a file is rmFile name, and the command for deleting a directory is rm -r Directory name.
    • In the two-node cluster scenario, this operation must be performed on both the active and standby servers.

You are advised to clear historical backup installation packages, patch packages, and files irrelevant to eSight. For details about the eSight files that can be deleted, see Table 6-5.

You are advised not to delete the files generated within latest three days. If you are not sure whether a file can be deleted, contact system administrators or Huawei technical support.
