Adjusting the VM Specification on the Standby Server

This section describes how to adjust the VM specification on the standby node of the OMMHA two-node cluster.

Stop the VM Where eSight Is Located

Before adjusting the specification, you need to stop the VM where eSight is located.

Procedure
  1. Log in to the FusionSphere OM as the administrator.
  2. Choose Resources > Computing Instance.
  3. Click More next to the VM to be stopped and click Close.

Adjusting the VM Specification

This section describes how to adjust the computing resources of the VM.

Creating a Standard Specification

Before adjusting a VM, you need to create the required resource specification. During VM adjustment, you can select a specification for the VM and the system automatically allocates resources for the VM.

Procedure
  1. Create a VM specification meeting the requirements based on the standard specification of the OMMHA two-node cluster.

Adjusting a Specification

You can adjust a VM specification to optimize and adjust hard disk resources and computing resources for the VM.

Procedure

Starting an Adjusted VM

After the specification is adjusted for a VM, you need to start the VM.

Procedure
  1. Log in to the FusionSphere OM as the administrator.
  2. Choose Resources > Computing Instance.
  3. Click Start in the Operation column next to the VM to be started.

    NOTE:

    After the VM is started, the eSight service is started automatically.
