Monitoring the Database Status

Monitoring the Database Status

You can query the database name, server name, and database status to know the running status of each database on the eSight server. This helps you identify faults and perform troubleshooting in a timely manner and therefore ensure efficient running of the eSight server.

Prerequisites

The database has been started.

Context

  • By default, the database information is refreshed every five minutes.
  • You can monitor all databases on the eSight server in a distributed environment.

Procedure

  1. Choose System > Database Information from the main menu.
  2. On the Database Information page, check the database status of the eSight server

    NOTE:
    • If a hyphen (-) is displayed in a column, the database does not have related attributes or the database attribute values cannot be obtained because eSight fails to connect to the database.
    • The database status can be Normal or Abnormal.

If Status is Abnormal, the alarm Database Usage Is High is generated or the database fails to connect to the eSight server.
