Running the Environment Health Check Tool

The environment health check tool is used to check the environment. If the environment is abnormal, you can rectify the fault based on the check result.

Procedure

  • Windows operating system
    1. Log in to the Windows operating system as the administrator user. On the eSight Console, choose Tools > Environmental Health Check.

      The Environmental Health Check page is displayed.

    2. Click Check.
  • Linux operating system
    NOTE:

    In an HA system, you need to use the tool on the active server as the ossuser user.

    • Configuration through a graphical tool (applicable only to the SUSE Linux operating system)
      1. Log in to the server as the ossuser user, go to eSight installation directory\mttools\tools, and execute the following script:
        sh cruiser.sh

        The Environmental Health Check page is displayed.

      2. Click Check.
    • Configuration through commands (applicable to Euler and SUSE Linux operating systems)
      1. Log in to the server as the ossuser user.
      2. Run the following command to check the environment health status:

        es_cli -cmd healthcheck

Reference Standard

The environment health check results are normal. If any exception occurs, rectify the fault based on the check results.
