Online Users on eSight Decrease

Online Users on eSight Decrease

The number of online users on WLAN User Statistics on eSight decreases suddenly. However, no network fault that a number of online users go offline suddenly occur and the number of access users on the device is stable.

Common Causes

  • Communication error between eSight and ACs occurs.
  • Time is different between ACs and eSight.
  • The AC is disabled to cache AP data.

Operation Procedure

  1. Check the connection between eSight and ACs.

Ping the IP address of eSight from ACs. If ping fails, check the network connection between ACs and eSight.

  2. Check the time between ACs and eSight.

If the time is different, modify the time of ACs to make it 15 seconds faster than eSight.

The time to report performance files is too early as the time of eSight and ACs is different. eSight imports the data to the data table of last period so the data of this circle decreases.

  3. Run the following command in the system-view view to enable the AP to cache data.

    Enabling command: ap-collect-time enable
