Configuring File Transfer Protocols (Windows)

Configuring File Transfer Protocols (Windows)

eSight supports multiple file transfer protocols, including FTP, TFTP, FTPS, and SFTP. This section describes how to configure the file services in the Windows operating system.

  1. Log in to the eSight server as the Administrator user.
  2. (Optional) Configure the TFTP file service.

    1. Open the eSight installation directory/AppBase/etc/conffile/tftpconfig.xml file.

      The TFTP protocol has security risks. Therefore, it is recommended that the file service be disabled after use.

      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
      <config name="tftpServer">
      <param name="enable">true</param>
      <param name="listenerPort">69</param>
      <param name="passivePorts">32160-32169</param>

      For details about the parameters, see tftpconfig.xml.

    2. Modify the TFTP parameters as required and save the modification.
    3. Restart eSight.

  3. (Optional) Configure the FTP, FTPS, and SFTP file services.

    1. Open the eSight installation directory/AppBase/sysagent/etc/sysconf/svcbase/med_node_1_svc.xml file.

      For details about the parameters, see med_node_1_svc.xml.

    2. (Optional) Configure the FTP file service.

      The FTP protocol has security risks. Therefore, it is recommended that the file service be disabled after use.

      <!-- ftp server configuration -->
      <config name="ftp">
      <!-- Is not activated, defualt false -->
      <param name="enable">false</param>
      <!-- Listening port -->
      <param name="listenerPort">21</param>
      <param name="passivePorts">32150-32159</param>
    3. (Optional) Configure the FTPS file service.
                              <config name="ftps">
                                      <param name="enable">true</param>
