Logging In to and Out of the Maintenance Tool

The maintenance tool works in browser/server mode. You can use the functions of the maintenance tool only when logging in to the maintenance tool through browser.

Prerequisites

You have obtained the following information before login:

  • User name and password.
  • Server IP address and port number.
  • The connection between the current client and the maintenance tool server is normal, and the server works properly.

Background

  • The maintenance tool provides only one user name sys and user password Changeme123.
  • The maintenance tool is an online client.
    • If you use different types of browsers on a terminal to log in to maintenance tool clients, the previous client is forcibly logged out. If you use the same type of browsers to log in to maintenance tool clients, they are considered the same online client and the precious client is not forcibly logged out.
    • If you log in to maintenance tool clients on different terminals, the previous client is forcibly logged out.
  • The maintenance tool provides forcible user logout to prevent illegal operations on the maintenance tool during the absence of an online user. An online user is automatically logged out if the user does not perform operations on the maintenance tool within 10 minutes. The user must re-log in to the maintenance tool to perform operations.

Logging In to the Maintenance Tool

  1. In the browser address bar, enter http://IP address of the maintenance tool server:port number of the maintenance tool server/, for example, https://10.10.10.1:31945/, and then press Enter.

    NOTE:
    • The default port number of the maintenance tool is 31945.
    • Login addresses can be IPv6 addresses, for example, https://[1001::10:10:10:20]:31945/

  2. Enter the User name and Password.

    NOTE:
    • Enter the correct user name and password to log in to the Maintenance Tool. If you log in to the Maintenance Tool as the sys user and enter the password incorrectly five times in 10 minutes, the login Internet Protocol (IP) address is locked for 10 minutes. To log in to the Maintenance Tool again, wait until the account is unlocked.
    • After you log in to the Maintenance Tool the first time, change the password as prompted. Remember the new password. If the password of the sys user is lost, you need to re-install the Maintenance Tool to restore the initial password.

  3. Click Login.

Logging Out of the Maintenance Tool

  1. Click in the upper right corner of the client.

    The maintenance tool exits.
