Querying eSight FTP/FTPS or SFTP Operation Logs

You can quickly learn user operations, for example, file uploading and downloading, using eSight File Transfer Protocol (FTP)/File Transfer Protocol over SSL (FTPS) or Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) operation logs.

Prerequisites

On Windows, perform operations as the Administrator user. On Linux, perform operations as the ossuser user.

Context

  • FTP/FTPS operation logs are recorded in log4operation_ftp_ftps.log and SFTP operation logs are recorded in log4operation_sftp.log.
  • The log may use personal information of users when providing services or maintenance. Therefore, you are obligated to take considerable measures, in compliance with the laws of the countries concerned and the user privacy policies of your company, to ensure that the personal data of users is fully protected.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the eSight server.
  2. Go to the eSight installation directory/AppBase/var/iemp/operation directory.
  3. Open the log4operation_ftp_ftps.log or log4operation_sftp.log file.
