Manually Performing the Switchover

Manually Performing the Switchover

After the specification of the standby server is adjusted, you need to adjust the specification of the active server. Therefore, the switchover must be performed to minimize the eSight service interruption time.

Service data may be generated during the running of the active server. After the two-node cluster is normal, you need to reserve time for the standby server to synchronize data before performing the switchover.

  1. Log in to the active eSight server as the ossuser user.
  2. Run the following commands to perform the switchover:

    > cd /opt/ommha/ha/bin

    > ./

  3. Verify the switchover. For details, see Verifying the Two-Node Cluster Status. If the active and standby servers are recovered after switchover, the switchover is successful.

If the switchover is abnormal, contact Huawei engineers for troubleshooting.
