Starting and Stopping the eSight Server (OMMHA HA System)

Starting eSight

You need to run the start command on the active and standby nodes of eSight respectively. eSight can be started successfully only when both the active and standby nodes are started successfully and two-node cluster resource status of eSight is normal. The process of starting eSight takes about 10 minutes.

Procedure
  1. Log in to the active eSight server as the ossuser user.
  2. Run the following command to start the eSight system:

    > cd /opt/ommha/ha/bin

    > ./start.sh

    The following information indicates that the operation is performed successfully:

    start HA successfully.

  3. Log in to the standby eSight server as the ossuser user.
  4. Run the following command to start the eSight system:

    > cd /opt/ommha/ha/bin

    > ./start.sh

    The following information indicates that the operation is performed successfully:

    start HA successfully.

  5. Check the two-node cluster status. For details, see Querying the Two-Node Cluster Resource Status . If the status is normal, eSight is started successfully. Otherwise, contact Huawei technical support.

Stopping eSight

You need to run the stop command on the active and standby nodes of eSight respectively. eSight can be stopped successfully only when both the active and standby nodes are stopped successfully. The process of stopping eSight takes about 5 minutes.

Procedure
  1. Log in to the standby eSight server as the ossuser user.
  2. Run the following command to stop the eSight system:

    > cd /opt/ommha/ha/bin

    > ./stop.sh

    The following information indicates that the standby eSight server is stopped successfully:

    stop HA successfully.

  3. Log in to the active eSight server as the ossuser user.
  4. Run the following command to stop the eSight system:

    > cd /opt/ommha/ha/bin

    > ./stop.sh

    The following information indicates that the active eSight server is stopped successfully:

    stop HA successfully.
