Resource Access

Resource Management provides multiple methods to discover devices and add them to the system.
  • Devices can be added to the eSight upon being discovered, manually added one by one, or imported in batches by using an Excel file.
  • Devices can be automatically discovered based on network segment, ARP, or routing.
  • Devices can be managed by group. Users can create, view, modify, and delete a device group.
  • Devices can also be automatically discovered and added to the eSight by using protocol templates.
  • Device discovery tasks can be managed as follows:
    • View all automatic discovery tasks in the task list, including one-time and periodic tasks.
    • View the results of all automatic discovery tasks and basic information about discovered devices.
    • Set an IP address segment or specific IP addresses of excluded devices.
