Added eNodeB or eSE Is Offline on eSight

An eNodeB or eSE is connected to the eSight server, but is displayed offline after being added to eSight.

Possible Causes

  • When you add an eNodeB or eSE to the eSight server, eSight uses the default user name and password to establish connections with the device. If the default password is different from that on the device, the device cannot be added to eSight.

If an eNodeB or eSE is displayed offline after being added to eSight, the default password on eSight may be different from that on the device.

  • After the eNodeB or eSE is added to eSight, the Ping command times out and the network is disconnected.
  • If multiple eSight systems are deployed on the network, the eNodeB or eSE may have been managed by another eSight system. Therefore, when it is added to the current eSight system, the connection is displayed in offline state.

  • Change the default password on eSight to the same password on the device by referring to Maintenance Guide > Security Maintenance > Password Change> Changing the eSight System User Password > Changing the eLTE Management User Password.
  • Check network configurations, ensuring that eSight and the eNodeB or eSE can ping each other.
  • Delete or disable the eNodeB or eSE in other eSight systems.
