eNodeB

eNodeB

eSight can manage eNodeBs added to it in a centralized manner.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resource > eLTE > Resource Monitor > eNodeB from the main menu.

    Displays basic device information and operations.

    Connection Status

    Device status. The options include Offline, Online, and Maintaining.

    NOTE:

    If the device status is online, but in the eNodeB device registration information list, the Connection Status column is , Please:

    • Check the mediation software is installed for the NE.
    • Check the device type you selected is matched with the NE.

    Name

    Device name.

    IP Address

    Device IP address.

    Subnet

    Subnet where the device locates.

    eNodeB ID

    Device identifier.

    Device Type

    Device model.

    Software Version

    Device software version.

    Vendor

    Device vendor.

    Last Modified At

    Last time when the device is modified.

    Device Creation Time

    Time when the Device is created.

    Device Creation Mode

    Mode in which the Device is created.

    Duration Inaccessible (s)

    Total length in offline state after the device is automatically added to eSight.

    Location

    Physical location of the device.

    Management Status

    Management status of the device, which can be Normal or Disabled.

    Last Synchronized At

    Last time when information is synchronized on the device.

    Remarks

    Device description.

    Operation

    You can perform the following operations: Locate in Topology, Modify, Delete, Reset Password and View Industry Terminal.

    Select items to be displayed in the device information list.

  2. You can perform the following operations on the eNodeB page.

    Task

    Search for a device

    1. Click on the search bar.
    2. Set the search criteria on the page that is displayed.
    3. Select Connection Status.
    4. Set Subnet, Name, IP Address, and Last Synchronized At.
    5. In More, click Device Type, Location, and Remarks respectively, and enter the search criteria.
    6. Click Search.

    Add eNodeB devices

    • Add a single eNodeB device.
      1. Click Add. The Add Device page is displayed.
      2. Set parameters in the Basic Information and Extended Information areas.
      3. Click OK.
    • Add eNodeB devices in a batch.
      1. Click Import. The Import Devices page is displayed.
      2. Click Template.xls to download a template to a local device.
      3. Open the template, enter device information, and save the template.
      4. Click next to Upload File to select the locally saved template.
      5. Click to upload the template.
      6. Click Create.
      NOTE:
      • eSight automatically creates a subnet recorded in the template.
      • If the template contains incorrect content or devices that have been added to eSight, the template cannot be successfully loaded.

    Delete devices

    You can delete information about eNodeBs when eSight no longer manages these eNodeBs.

    • Delete information about a single eNodeB.
      1. Click next to the target eNodeB.
      2. Click Yes in the Confirm dialog box.
    • Delete information about multiple eNodeBs in a batch.
      1. Select eNodeBs you want to delete.
      2. Click Delete above the list.
      3. Click Yes in the Confirm dialog box.

    Synchronize configurations

    You can perform this operation to synchronize eNodeB configuration data.

    • Start synchronization
      1. Select the eNodeB to be synchronized in the eNodeB information list.
      2. Click Synchronize Configuration and choose Start Synchronization.
    • Config Sync Mgmt
      1. Click Synchronize Configuration and choose Manage Config Sync.
    • Parameter settings
      1. Click Synchronize Configuration and choose Set Parameter.
      2. Set Scheduled Task to ON.
      3. Select Schedule Policy based on actual needs, and set the time.
      4. Click OK.

    Move a device

    You can perform this operation to modify the subnet of the device.

    1. Select a eNodeB to be adjusted and click Move.
    2. Select the target subnet on the Move page and click OK.
    3. Click OK in the Confirm dialog box.

    Locate a device in the topology

    Click next to the eNodeB in the device list. The Topology Management page is displayed. For details on topology management operations, see Physical Topology Management.

    Modify eNodeB information

    You can perform this operation to modify eNodeB information.

    1. Click next to the target eNodeB.
    2. The page for modifying eNodeB information is displayed. Modify eNodeB information on the page that is displayed.
    3. Click OK.

    Reset the password

    You can perform this operation to modify the password of the emscomm account.

    1. Click next to the target eNodeB.
    2. On the page that is displayed, modify the password of the emscomm account.
    3. Click OK.

    View industry terminal information

    You can perform this operation to view Industry Terminals in the corresponding eNodeB.

    1. Click next to the target eNodeB.
    2. View Industry Terminal information on the page that is displayed.
    NOTE:

    You can click on the upper right corner of the eNodeB device list to filter display information.

Basic Information

The Basic Information page displays the basic eNodeB information and operation information.

Web NMS

eSight provides a shortcut entry to the web page for managing the eNodeB LMT.

Perform operations on the web page as required.
NOTE:

If you are denied access to the Web LMT of eNodeB, contact the administrator.

Configuration synchronization

Allows you to synchronize configuration data.

Click Synchronize Configuration. eSight starts to synchronize configuration data.

View Topology

Allows you to view the device in the network topology.

Click View Topology. You can view the device topology on the Topology Management page.

KPI

Allows you to view device KPIs within a specific time segment.

Select a time unit and determine the time segment by dragging the ruler on the timeline. KPIs within the time segment will be displayed.

View the Ethernet port

Allows you to view the Ethernet port of the device.

Click in front of the port to be viewed for relevant information.

Procedure
  1. In the navigation tree in the left pane, choose NTP Synchronization Management > NTP Client.

Exporting Files

Configuration Files

This topic describes how to back up and export configuration files.

Prerequisites
  • You have logged in to the eSight client.
  • You have been assigned the operation rights.
Procedure
  1. In the navigation tree in the left pane, choose File Export > Configuration File.

    You can perform the following operations on the Configuration File page.

    1. Click Generate Backup File. In the File Back Up Setting dialog box enter Encryption Password and Confirm password , and click OK. The backup progress bar is displayed on the top of the page.
      NOTE:

      It is recommended to select encryption methods to export configuration files. By default, Encryption Switch is set to on.

    2. After backup is completed, click OK in the dialog box that is displayed.

    Upload

    1. Select the configuration file to be exported and click Uploaded To Server. The progress bar is displayed on the top of the page.
    2. After export is completed, click OK in the dialog box that is displayed.

License

This topic describes how to export license files.

Prerequisites
  • You have logged in to the eSight client.
  • You have been assigned the operation rights.
Procedure
  1. In the navigation tree in the left pane, choose File Export > License File.
  2. Select license files you want to export and click Uploaded To Server.
  3. Click OK.
