How can I set the date format displayed on the eSight client?

Answer

NOTE:
  • The date format setting function is valid to all dates related to alarms. Dates irrelevant to the alarms are not affected by the settings.
  • The date format setting function is limited. To use the function, contact the technical support.
  1. Enable the date format setting function on the eSight server.
    1. Log in to the eSight server.
    2. Open the {eSight installation directory}/AppBase/etc/ent.fm/dateformat.cfg file and set displayMenu to true to enable the date format setting function and menu display on the GUI.
    3. Delete the dateFormat-filter-conf.xml file (back up the file before deletion) from {eSight installation directory}/AppBase/etc/oms.sm/filter to remove the limitation on the date format setting function.
    4. Restart eSight.
  2. Choose System > System Settings > Date Format Settings from the main menu and set the format of the date displayed on the eSight client.

    Choose Date delimiter and Date format based on the site requirements, and click Apply.

    NOTE:

    After the setting takes effect, dates related to alarms are displayed in the configured format. You can go to a page and press F5 to view the date display effect.
