Introduction to the eService

Introduction to the eService

Definition

Alarms reported by network devices, storage devices and servers can be sent to the eService cloud-end management system through emails on eSight.

Benefits

The 24/7 active monitoring for device alarms needs no human intervention. Compared with the traditional manual reporting method, device alarms are automatically reported to the eService cloud-end management system, therefore reducing fault reporting processes and handling time.

Application Scenarios

In customer's network, alarms of network devices, storage devices and servers are automatically reported to the eService cloud -end management system through eSight.

Working Principles

The working principles of the eService feature on eSight are as follows:

  1. After eSight is interconnected with a device, alarms generated by the device are reported to eSight.
  2. eSight encrypts the alarms and then send them to the dedicated email box of the eService cloud-end management system based on the preset principles.
  3. The eService cloud-end management system analyzes the reported alarms, and then an eCare/iCare trouble ticket is created automatically or manually by CCR.
