Managing Soft Terminal Information

eSight allows you to preset and manage soft terminal information and automatically add the soft terminal to the corresponding terminal group.

Prerequisites

You have collected the User Account and Group Name of soft terminals.

Importing Soft Terminal Number Information

  1. Choose Resource > Collaboration Resource from the main menu.
  2. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Terminal Device Management > Resource Management > Terminal Number.
  3. Click the Soft Terminal Account tab.
  4. Download the template and enter parameters following the template instructions, and save the settings.
  5. Click Import, select the configured template, and click OK.

    The newly added soft terminal information is displayed on the interface.

Manually Adding Soft Terminal Number Information

  1. Choose Resource > Collaboration Resource from the main menu.
  2. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Terminal Device Management > Resource Management > Terminal Number.
  3. Click the Soft Terminal Account tab.
  4. Click Add and enter related information.
  5. Click OK.

    The newly added soft terminal information is displayed on the interface.

Setting the Soft Terminal Authentication Mode

By default, eSight uses the uPortal to authenticate soft terminals. To authenticate soft terminals using the CloudPortal, you need to manually configure the CloudPortal authentication function. For details, see "Maintenance Reference > Configuration Files > Collaboration Management > ems_config_readWriter.properties" in the Maintenance Guide.
