Configuring Large-Screen Monitoring

Configuring Large-Screen Monitoring

In the scenarios such as O&M centers and exhibition halls, statistics collected and information monitored by eSight are displayed in big high-resolution screens, facilitating centralized monitoring, presentation, and reporting.

Prerequisites

For a user other than admin, you need to assign the permission on managing predefined device groups to the user. Otherwise, the Resource Status and Health cannot be displayed on the large screen.

Context

eSight supports high-resolution projection screens (single screen without borders) and big screens joint by television screens (multiple screens with borders). When a big screen is joint by multiple small screens (units), you are advised to set the number of small screens and the resolution of each small screen based on the site requirements.

Procedure

  1. Choose Big Screen Monitor from the main menu.

  2. Click Customize at the upper right corner of the page.
  3. In the Customize View dialog box, select a template or portlet in Template selector or Portlet selector.
Click Portlet selector or Template selector to switch the selector. By default, Template selector is displayed.
    • Template selector: A series of templates are provided based on usage scenarios for users to select.

Select a template and click OK. After the template is added, you can move, adjust, delete, and preview a single portlet in the view.

      NOTE:

Only one template can be selected for each view. The newly selected template will replace the applied template.

    • Portlet selector: Various statistics and information display portlets are provided. Users can customize the information display.

Click next to a portlet to be added. After the portlet is added, you can move, adjust, delete, and preview the portlet in the view.

  4. To display the topology, choose Topology > Topology Management. You can click on the toolbar to set the point of the topology in the big screen. Then, click . If the big screen demonstration page has been opened, refresh the page.
    1. When the length and width of the Topology Management page are less than or equal to those of the topology portlet on the Big Screen Monitor page, the entire topology page is displayed on the big screen demonstration page regardless of the location of the start point.
    2. When the length and width of the Topology Management page are greater than those of the topology portlet on the Big Screen Monitor page, the area, which is extended from the start point to the lower right part of the page until its size is the same as that of the topology portlet, is displayed on the big screen demonstration page.
    NOTE:
    • If the distance between the start point and the bottom border of the Topology Management page is shorter than the width of the topology portlet on the Big Screen Monitor page, the area is extended from the start point to the upper part of the page until its width is the same as that of the topology portlet.
    • If the distance between the start point and the right border of the Topology Management page is shorter than the length of the topology portlet on the Big Screen Monitor page, the area, which is extended from the start point to the left part of the page until its length is the same as that of the topology portlet.
  5. Click Save in Customize View.
  6. In the Big Screen Monitor view, click Show and select the view to be played.

When the view is played, press F11 to display the current view in a full screen.

NOTE:
