Configuring the STUN Server Parameter

Configuring the STUN Server Parameter

eSight provides STUN server parameter configuration. You can use it to enable the STUN service to achieve cross-NAT management of terminal devices.

Procedure

  1. Choose Resource > Collaboration Resource from the main menu.
  2. In the navigation tree on the left, choose Terminal Device Management > System Configuration.
  3. Under STUN Server Parameter Settings, set Enable STUN to Enable.

    • Enable: The STUN service is enabled.
    • Disable: The STUN service is disabled.

  4. Set STUN Min. Period (second) and STUN Max. Period (second).

The default value of STUN Min. Period (second) is 10 and STUN Max. Period (second) is 3600.

  5. Set STUN Server IP Address and STUN Server Port.

    NOTE:
    • STUN Server IP Address is the IP address of eSight.
    • The default value of STUN Server Port is 3478.
    • For details about how to modify STUN Server IP Address and STUN Server Port, see Maintenance Reference > Configuration Files > Collaboration Management > ems_config_readWriter.properties in the Maintenance Guide.

  6. Set IP Address Segment with STUN Service Disabled. This parameter is valid only when Enable STUN is set to Enable.

    NOTE:
    • You can set multiple IP network segments, which are separated by semicolons (;). A maximum of 100 IP network segments can be set.
    • After IP network segments are set, if the terminal IP address is in the network segment specified in IP Address Segment with STUN Service Disabled, the STUN service is disabled for the terminal. If the terminal IP address is not in the network segment specified in IP Address Segment with STUN Service Disabled, the STUN service is enabled for the terminal.
    • If IP segment disabling STUN service is left empty, the STUN service is enabled for terminals on all network segments.

  7. Click OK and click OK in the dialog box that is displayed.
