Setting uPortal Parameters

If you need to use the uPortal dispatch number function, you need to configure the relevant parameters on the uPortal.

Prerequisites

You need to set Switch of Number Allocation to ON and set Number Allocation Mode to uPortal in System Configuration. For details, see Managing Terminal Number Resources.

Context

If the built-in certificate of eSight is used, security risks exist. You are advised to replace the built-in certificate file with your own one to improve system security. For details about how to update a certificate, see Security Maintenance > Security Certificates > Replacing the Business Certificate > Replacing Collaborations Certificates > Replacing the Certificate for eSight to Communicate with uPortal in the Maintenance Guide.

Setting uPortal Parameters on the Web Page

  1. Log in to the uPortal as the admin user.
  2. Click System Configuration to access the sysPortal.
  3. In the navigation tree on the left, choose uPortal Functions > Service Provisioning Interconnection.
  4. Click Service Configuration tab page.
  5. Click New. Set related parameters.

    • NE Type: Set to TMSTR069.
    • Service Name: Customize the service name.
    • The account and password for interconnection are provided by eSight. For details, see Security Maintenance > Password Change > Password Change Overview > eSight System Users in the Maintenance Guide.

      The password must meet the following requirements:

      • The password contains at least 6 characters.
      • The password contains at least two types of the following characters:
        • At least one lowercase letter
        • At least one uppercase letter
        • At least one digit
        • The password contains at least one space or one of the following special characters: `~!@#$%^&*()-_=+\|[{}];:'",<.>/?
      • The password cannot be the user name.

  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Domain Name Configuration tab page.
  8. Click New. Set related parameters.

    • Domain Name: Customize the domain name.
    • IP Address: Set to the northbound IP address of the eSight.

  9. Click OK.
  10. Click Service and Domain Name Mapping tab page.
  11. Click New. Set related parameters.

    • Service Name: Set to the service name defined in 5.
    • Domain Name: Set to the domain name defined in 8.
    • Port: Use default value.
    • Priority and Weight: Customize the priority and weight.

  12. Click OK.

Configuring the User Name and Password Used by uPortal to Communicate with the eSight

For the uPortal, the default Interconnection Account and Interconnection Password have been configured on the eSight for terminals to communicate with the eSight.

If you need use other Interconnection Account and Interconnection Password, configure as the following steps.

The operations on the Linux operating system and Windows are similar. The Linux is taken as an example.

  1. Log in to the eSight server as the root user.
  2. Open the ems_config_readWriter.properties file.

    cd eSight installation directory/AppBase/etc/uc

    vi ems_config_readWriter.properties

    The following information is displayed:

    uportal.auth=eSight\:ZvBdkowi3RJEcngT0a41xcezpa+WnRcN+SFyw8GjYIs\=yrxbpEh3IjP/Cu6RdK/BDv1XVokG0IrtVXXUmDFXjFg\=

    eSight is the interconnection account.

    Here, ZvBdkowi3RJEcngT0a41xcezpa+WnRcN+SFyw8GjYIs\=yrxbpEh3IjP/Cu6RdK/BDv1XVokG0IrtVXXUmDFXjFg\= is the value that is obtained by encrypting the Interconnection Account and Interconnection Password combination of the uPortal using the encryption tool. For details about encryption, see Security Maintenance > Password Change > Changing the eSight System User Password > Changing the Collaboration Passwords in the Maintenance Guide.

    If the Interconnection Account and Interconnection Password of the uPortal are Huawei and Changeme_123 respectively, the encryption command is as follows:

    cd eSight installation directory/AppBase/tools/bmetool/encrypt

    ./encrypt.sh 2

    • Enter the Interconnection Account and Interconnection Password combination here.
    • eSight supports multiple authorization users, separated by the vertical bar (|). One example is uportal.auth=eSight\:ZvBdkowi3RJEcngT0a41xcezpa+WnRcN+SFyw8GjYIs\=yrxbpEh3IjP/Cu6RdK/BDv1XVokG0IrtVXXUmDFXjFg\=|Huawei\:******, where ****** indicates the encrypted text of HuaweiChangeme_123.

  3. After the ems_config_readWriter.properties file is edited, restart the eSight.

    su - ossuser

    cd eSight installation directory/AppBase/bin

    ./shutdown.sh

    ./startup.sh
