Discovering Storage Device Links

Discovering Storage Device Links

eSight storage device links include links of storage service ports and management ports. Service port links support both FC switches and IP switches. Management port links support only IP switches. For links of IP switches, you need to perform operations in this section to automatically discover physical topology links of storage devices. Links of FC switches can be automatically discovered to the topology.

Links are created based on device service data analysis. No service data does not mean that physical links are deleted. After a device link is created, eSight does not automatically delete the link even if the link does not exist in subsequent data. You need to manually delete the link after confirmation.
