Automatically Discovering Microwave Devices

Automatically Discovering Microwave Devices

Microwave devices can be automatically discoveried by searching for a network segment, which improves the efficiency for creating a large number of Microwave devices in batches.

  • The device has been installed and powered on.
  • The SNMP protocol configuration has been completed for the device. For details, see the device documentation.
  • You have obtained the network segment where the device is located, SNMP protocol port number, device account, authentication password, and encryption password.

  1. Go to the resource adding page and choose Resource > Common from the menu bar.
  2. (Optional) Choose Add Resource > Add Subnet in the navigation tree on the left and add a subnet.

  3. Choose Add Resource > Protocol Template > SNMP Template in the navigation tree on the left, click Create, and set parameters as prompted to configure a protocol template.

Microwave devices support only the SNMP protocol.

  4. Choose Add Resource > Automatic Discovery in the navigation tree on the left and complete automatic discovery and creation of devices as prompted.

Microwave devices support only two automatic discovery modes: By network segment (basic) and By network segment (advanced).
