Resource Management provides resource access and resource monitoring.
Resource Access
Resource Management provides multiple methods to discover devices and add them to the system.
- Devices can be added to the eSight upon being discovered, manually added one by one, or imported in batches by using an Excel file.
- Devices can be automatically discovered based on network segment, ARP, or routing.
- Devices can be managed by group. Users can create, view, modify, and delete a device group.
- Devices can also be automatically discovered and added to the eSight by using protocol templates.
- Device discovery tasks can be managed as follows:
- View all automatic discovery tasks in the task list, including one-time and periodic tasks.
- View the results of all automatic discovery tasks and basic information about discovered devices.

Resource Monitoring
- Users can view basic information about devices, including the protocols they use.
- Device information can be exported to help users learn about device details.
