Configuring the Generation of Resource Northbound Files

A third-party system user needs to configure the generation of original flow files of the resource component before the system startup and set the generation period and clearing period of the files to 20 minutes and 7 days, respectively.

Procedure

  1. Configure a northbound resource configuration file.

    Configure items in the export.xml file in the <Installation directory> /AppBase/etc/ent.nbi/ directory. The configuration file format is as follows. By default, the file contains no information.

    The period parameter specifies the file generation period, in minutes. The value is configurable.

Operation Result

After the configuration is complete, eSight periodically import original resource data to a northbound file and upload the file to the corresponding directory based on value of NBIFileStoragePath in the nbi.xml Configuration File Reference.

For example, if the value of NBIFileStoragePath in nbi.xml Configuration File Reference is the default value /data/nbi, you can view northbound network resource files with timestamps in "<Installation directory>/AppBase/var/iemp/data/nbi/pmdatatemp/networkftpdata/nebaseinfo/20191028".

After a third party logs in to the eSight FTP server using the user name, password, and authentication mode defined in the nbi.xml file, the following folder exists in the default root directory:

Remarks: The following describes the fields in the name of a resource result file:

nebaseinfo_deviceinfo_XXmin_yyyymmdd_HHMM.csv

The file name format is as follows:

  • XX: Indicates the collection period, which is the same as the value of period in the <Installation directory>/AppBase/etc/ent.nbi/export.xml file.
  • yyyymmdd: Indicates the collection date.
  • HHMM: Indicates the collection time.
