Application Scenario

Application Scenario

  • Scenario 1: centralized account management

Centralized user management is the basis of SSO and consists of centralized user information management and centralized user authorization. In SSO, a login user can obtain the authorization for access to the system and application software. Administrators can perform security control without the need to modify or intervene user login. In an integrated scenario, eSight needs to access the centralized account management system that has been deployed and applied by the IT department and use this system to provide SSO for managed users.

  • Scenario 2: centralized monitoring by an enterprise IT department

The IT department of an enterprise mainly manages the infrastructure and basic IT architecture. The infrastructure includes the power supply, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), air conditioner, fire-fighting equipment, safety guard equipment, and environment monitoring equipment. The basic IT architecture consists of IT devices such as network devices, hosts, and storage devices.

Centralized monitoring aims to monitor the running status of the infrastructure and basic IT architecture through management and technologies. In this manner, the IT department can discover and notify faults and exceptions in real time, as well as collect and sort monitoring data. These data serves as the basis for managing the capacity, events, problems, and compliance, realizing high availability of enterprise IT O&M. eSight supports centralized management on the IT infrastructure of Huawei and Non-Huawei vendors. Based on open interfaces provided by protocols such as SNMP, HTTP, and FTP, eSight allows third-party systems to monitor resource data in the IT environment in a centralized manner. The monitored resource data includes devices, topologies, alarms, performance, and status.
