This section describes how to configure the eSight northbound FTP interface.


  1. Log in to the eSight server.

    On the Windows OS, log in to the eSight server as user Administrator. On the Linux OS, log in to the eSight server as user ossuser.

  2. Open the nbi.xml file.

    • Windows

      Navigate to the eSight installation directory/AppBase/etc/oms.nbi directory and use the text editor to open the nbi.xml file.

    • Linux

      Run the following commands:

      cd eSight installation directory/AppBase/etc/oms.nbi

      vi nbi.xml

  3. In the nbi.xml file, configure a related item for generating topology resource files. For details, see section Configuring the Generation of Topology Resource Files.
  4. Configure the interconnection with the third-party system in push or pull mode.

    The eSight can interconnect with a maximum of 20 third-party systems. Each UserInfo node indicates a third-party system.

  5. Save the configurations.

    • Windows

      Choose File > Save from the main menu of the text editor and close the window.

    • Linux

      Run the :wq command.

  6. Restart the eSight service for the configurations to take effect.
  7. Check whether the northbound FTP interface is configured successfully. For details, see section Verifying Configurations.
