Modify LAN Manager authentication level Properties on the host that runs Windows Server 2008.
- Choose Start > Run.
- In the text box, enter gpedit.msc and press Enter.
- In the dialog box that is displayed, choose Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options. Double-click Network security: LAN Manager authentication level Properties.
- In the dialog box that is displayed, select Send NTLMv2 response only. Refuse LM & NTLM and click OK.
