What Can I Do If the eSight Server Does Not Have Sufficient Hard Disk Space During eSight Installation, Startup, or Upgrade
Question
The eSight installation, startup, or upgrade fails if the eSight server does not have sufficient hard disk space. An alarm is generated or an error occurs when the PMI tool is used to inspect the remaining hard disk space of the eSight server.
Answer
The requirements on the remaining hard disk space in different scenarios are as follows:
- In the eSight startup scenario, the remaining hard disk space of the eSight installation directory should be larger than 300 GB. Otherwise, eSight cannot properly run for a long period of time.
- The remaining space of the operating system disk should be larger than 30 GB.
- In the eSight installation scenario, the remaining hard disk space of the eSight installation directory should be larger than 300 GB. Otherwise, eSight cannot properly run for a long period of time.
- In the eSight upgrade scenario, the remaining hard disk space should be larger than the expected system value (installation directory size + 300 GB).
You are advised to perform the following operations:
- Delete unnecessary files from the hard disk, or uninstall unnecessary software.
- Expand the hard disk space.
