Installation Restrictions
During eSight installation, comply with specific installation restrictions of eSight.
- Only one eSight system can be installed on one server.
- The eSight software can be installed on the operating system with simplified Chinese, English, German, or Spanish. If eSight is installed on the English, German, or Spanish operating system, the customer should prepare the operating system and SQL Server 2012 (standard edition or above) of the required language.
- To prevent program conflicts, it is recommended that other unnecessary software not be installed or run on the eSight server.
- In a full installation scenario, if an operating system has been installed on the server, you are advised to format the local disk and then re-install the operating system.
- Enable required services and disable unnecessary ones on the eSight server.
- Verify software integrity and scan the installation program for viruses. Ensure security before the installation.
- During eSight installation or startup, only one user is allowed to perform operations on the server. If multiple users perform operations on the server simultaneously, the installation or startup may fail.
- Do not modify the system configurations (such as environment variables) except for the operations described in this document. Otherwise, functions of eSight may become abnormal.
- The installation method in this document is also applicable to the compact edition of eSight Network. However, the license required for eSight Network is different. Therefore, you need to load a license for eSight Network. For details, see the eSight License Usage Guide (Non-Annual Mode).
- In the Windows operating system, eSight does not support the installation and deployment of antivirus software. Antivirus software, such as Kaspersky, is not supported.
