When a user logs in to the SUSE12 through the GUI, and right-click the blank area on the desktop and choose Open Terminal from the shortcut menu, or right-click the file browser and choose Open in Terminal from the shortcut menu, the SUSE 12 does not respond.
Answer
The gnome terminal provided by the SUSE 12 may fail to be opened sometimes. In such case, you can use the XTerm terminal for substitution.
- On the SUSE 12 desktop, press Alt+F2.
- Enter xterm and press Enter to open the XTerm terminal.
