Installing a Single-Node System (Incremental Installation)
eSight supports incremental installation. That is, a component not installed during initial installation of eSight can be installed during the second installation of eSight.
Precautions
- Ensure that the version of the incremental installation package is the same as the baseline version of the running eSight.
The version number of the incremental installation package is in the format of eSight VxxxRxxxCxx or eSight VxxxRxxxCxxSPCx00.
- If a patch has been installed for the current eSight version, you need to reinstall the patch and start eSight after incremental installation.
- The eSight service has been stopped. For details, see Stopping the eSight Service.
Installation Process
- If the current eSight version is V300R010C00SPC500 or a later patch version, use the V300R010C00SPC500 installation CD-ROM (V300R010C00SPC500) instead of the V300R010C00SPC300 installation CD-ROM to perform incremental installation.
- For details about how to install new components, see Installing the eSight Platform and Components.
- If the new component is license controlled, import the matching license file after the installation.
