Answer
- Using the iBMC web client (2288H V5)
- Ensure that the operating system and browser are available for the client that uses the iBMC system. For details about the version requirements, obtain the Huawei Rack Server iBMC User Guide from Huawei's official website.
- Configure an IP address for the PC. Ensure that the IP address is in the same network segment as that of the iBMC management port. The default IP address of the iBMC management port is 192.168.2.100.
- Connect the PC to the iBMC management port using a network cable.
- Open a browser, enter https://IP address of the iBMC management network port in the address box, and press Enter. The default IP address of the iBMC management port is 192.168.2.100.
- If the security alarm window is displayed, click Continue to this website.
To shield this page, add the iBMC as an exceptional site or reduce the Java security level in the Java security list. This operation may lower user security. Therefore, exercise caution when performing this operation.
- Enter the user name and password, and click Log In.

- To enter an uppercase letter, press Shift+Letter.
- Choose Config > Network Settings and manually configure the IP address.
- If the PC cannot directly access the iBMC web client, perform the following operations through the BIOS system:
- Connect the keyboard and mouse to the iBMC management port using a network cable.
- Access the Setup Utility page.
- (Optional) Power off the server.
If POWER OFF is displayed, the server is powered off. Go to 2.b. Otherwise, click
and select Power Off.
- Power on the server.

- When the following information is displayed, press Delete and select go to Setup Utility. Press Enter.
- Enter the BIOS password and press Enter.

- Use the arrow keys (↑, ↓, ←, and →) to choose Advanced > IPMI iBMC Configuration and press Enter.
- Configure the IP address of the iBMC management port.
- Use the arrow keys (↑ and ↓) to select IPv4 IP Address and press Enter.
- Change the IP address and press Enter to confirm the configuration.
- Use the arrow keys (↑ and ↓) to select IPv4 Subnet Mask and IPv4 Gateway Address, and press Enter. Set the IP address mask and gateway.
- Press F10 to save the settings and exit.

- Use the IP address of the management port to log in to the server.
