Preparing the USB Configuration File
The USB configuration tool is the TE10 USBConfigurationTool.xls file.
If an error occurred when you attempt to open the USB configuration tool, see section An Error Occurred at an Attempt to Open the USB Configuration Tool.
The USB configuration tool can be obtained from Tools\EN\usbconfigration_tool\2003 in the endpoint's software package. To download the software package, visit http://support.huawei.com/enterprise/ and search TE10 V600R019C00.
The following procedure describes how to make a USB configuration file.
- Open the TE10 USBConfigurationTool.xls file, as shown in Figure 2-45. The Import and Export buttons are unavailable.
- The Import button imports configuration files to the USB configuration tool.
- The Export button exports endpoint settings from the USB configuration tool to a configuration file.
- Click the Options button. In the dialog box shown in Figure 2-46, select Enable this content and click OK. The Import and Export buttons are activated.
- Set required parameters, as shown in Figure 2-47.
For the detailed description of parameters you need to set in the USB configuration tool, see the Web Online Help.
- Click Export to export the settings as a file to D:\config\ (configurable), as shown in Figure 2-48.
- The settings can also be directly exported as a file to a USB drive.
- The configuration file is named config.zip by default. Do not change it; otherwise, the configuration file cannot be imported into the endpoint.
- Click Save. In the dialog box that is displayed, enter the administrator password (by default, the password is blank), as shown in Figure 2-49.The administrator password can be changed under System Settings > More > Administrator Password on the user interface of the endpoint. For security purposes, it is recommended that you immediately change the password after powering on the endpoint for the first time. After that, change the password periodically.
- Click OK.
