Configuring the Endpoint Using the SMC
After the endpoint connects to the SMC, the SMC will automatically provision configuration data to the endpoint. The configuration data includes SIP registration parameters, including SIP server address, proxy server address, URI, and authentication user name/password.
Prerequisites
- The DHCP server has been configured. For details, see Configuring the DHCP Server.
- You have added the endpoint to the SMC as an SN predefined participant and obtained the authentication user name and password. For details, visit www.huawei.com, search for CloudEC V600R019C00 Product Documentation (Enterprise On-premises, Only Conference), and open or download this Product Documentation. Then view the "Predefining a Participant" section in it. The SMC can manage unmanageable participants in batches. For details, see the "Adding, Modifying, or Deleting Unmanageable Participants in Batches" section in the CloudEC V600R006C00 Product Documentation (Enterprise On-premises).
Procedure
When your endpoint is powering on for the first time, it prompts the Configuration Wizard screen by default. Then you can use the remote control to perform the following operations:
- Follow the instructions in the "Setting Parameters Using the Wizard" section to access the Registration screen shown in Figure 3-3.
- In the SMC window that is displayed, enter the authentication user name and password, as shown in Figure 3-4.
- Press OK.
