Configuring the Endpoint Using eSight
After the endpoint connects to eSight, eSight will automatically provision configuration data to the endpoint. The configuration data includes SIP registration parameters (URI and authentication user name/password), GK registration parameters (whether to enable the GK, GK registration mode, and GK address), and parameters specified in the configuration file. (The configuration file is obtained from the endpoint software package and then uploaded to eSight.)
Prerequisites
- The DHCP server has been configured. For details, see Configuring the DHCP Server.
- The activation code has been obtained. For details, visit support.huawei.com, search for eSight V300R008C00 Product Documentation, and open or download this Product Documentation. Then view the "Managing Activation Code" section in it.
Procedure
When your endpoint is powering on for the first time, it prompts the Configuration Wizard screen by default. Then you can use the remote control to perform the following operations:
- Follow the instructions in the "Setting Parameters Using the Wizard" section to access the Registration screen shown in Figure 3-1.
- In the eSight window that is displayed, enter the activation code, as shown in Figure 3-2.
- Press OK.
