Setting the Instant Conference Parameters
- On the user interface, choose Call > Conference Schedules > Create Conference, as shown in Figure 2-17.
- Select Advanced to set advanced parameters.
- To create an H.323 multipoint conference, set the advanced parameters, as shown in Figure 2-18.

Description
Call rate
Specifies the data transmission rate for the conference.
To help ensure conference quality, set this parameter to 1920 kbps or a larger value.
Continuous presence
Specifies the maximum number of site videos that can be viewed simultaneously during the conference. When continuous presence is broadcast, the sites in the conference can view the videos of multiple sites simultaneously.
If you select None, the conference does not support continuous presence.
Anonymous H.323 sites
Specifies the number of anonymous H.323 sites that are allowed to join the conference.
For example, to allow five anonymous H.323 sites to join the conference, set this parameter to 5. If this parameter is set to 0, anonymous sites are not allowed to join the conference.
Anonymous PSTN sites
Specifies the number of anonymous PSTN sites that are allowed to join the conference.
For example, to allow five anonymous PSTN sites to join the conference, set this parameter to 5. If this parameter is set to 0, anonymous sites are not allowed to join the conference.
Conference control password
Specifies the password of the multipoint conference.
- The site that wants to chair the conference must enter this password for requesting chair control rights.
- Anonymous sites that want to join an authentication conference must enter this password.
H.235 conference
Specifies whether the multipoint conference is an encrypted conference.
For security purposes, the Enable option is recommended.
Charged site
Specifies the party that will be charged for the conference.
- Local: The local site pays for the conference.
- Remote: Another site pays for the conference. If you select this option, you must fill in Charged account and password.
Support recording
Specifies whether to enable the recording function for the multipoint conference.
After this function is enabled, the conference can be recorded, and the recorded video can be played from the recording server.
Support live broadcast
Specifies whether to enable the live broadcast function for the multipoint conference.
After this function is enabled, the recording server allows you to watch live broadcast of the ongoing conference.
- To create a SIP multipoint conference, set the advanced parameters, as shown in Figure 2-19.

Specifies the password of the multipoint conference.
- The site that wants to chair the conference must enter this password for requesting chair control rights.
- Anonymous sites that want to join an authentication conference must enter this password.
Anonymous SIP sites
Specifies the number of anonymous SIP sites that are allowed to join the conference. Anonymous sites are the sites without defined numbers.
For example, to allow five anonymous SIP sites to join the conference, set this parameter to 5. If this parameter is set to 0, anonymous sites are not allowed to join the conference.
SRTP encryption
Specifies whether the multipoint conference is an encrypted conference. The options are as follows:
- Insecure conference: No data transmitted during the conference is encrypted.
- Secure media conference: Media streams are encrypted.
For security purposes, the Secure media conference option is recommended.
NOTE:If you want to select Secure media conference, ensure that Encryption is set to Forced or Auto under System Settings > Security on the web interface for your endpoint and the endpoints to call. Otherwise, the calls will fail.
Support recording
Specifies whether to enable the recording function for the multipoint conference.
After this function is enabled, the conference can be recorded, and the recorded video can be played from the recording server.
Support live broadcast
Specifies whether to enable the live broadcast function for the multipoint conference.
After this function is enabled, the recording server allows you to watch live broadcast of the ongoing conference.
