Editing the Address Book
- Open the address book editor and click Import to import the VCF file exported from the endpoint and edit it.Figure 4-2 Address book editor tableIn the address book editor:
- Yellow indicates that the cell is editable.
- Gray indicates that the cell is not editable.
- Blue indicates that the cell is invalid.
- By default, you can use the fill handle to copy cells in the type, rate, and port columns or to fill in adjacent cells with a series of data in other columns. To forcibly use the fill handle to copy cells, press and hold Ctrl when you drag the fill handle. To forcibly use the fill handle to fill in adjacent cells with a series of data, press and hold Alt when you drag the fill handle.
- Before exporting an address book file, check that the yellow area contains no blank lines. If blank lines exist, the export may fail.
- A site name contains a maximum of 64 characters that can be letters and special characters. If voice dialing is required for a site, name the site and say the site name in the following rules:
You can voice dial a site only by its name. To voice dial a site, speak out its name within 3.33 seconds; otherwise, the voice dial cannot work.

The site name can contain English letters/words only or be a combination of English letters/words and digits/numbers.
Digits without spaces can be pronounced separately or as a whole. For example, 56 can be pronounced as "five six" or "fifty-six".
Digits with spaces must be pronounced separately. For example, 5 6 is pronounced as "five six".
- After you edit the information about sites and groups using the address book editor, export the address book file in VCF format. The default name of an exported address book file is AddressBook.vcf.
Before exporting an address book file, check that the yellow area contains no blank lines. If blank lines exist, the export may fail.
