Configuring the DHCP Server
This section describes how to configure the DHCP server so that it can automatically deliver configurations from the TMS, DM, eSight, or SMC to the endpoint.
Procedure
- Choose Start > Administrative Tools > DHCP. The DHCP window is displayed.
- Click
to expand the navigation tree, as shown in Figure B-1.
- Right-click IPV4 and choose Set Predefined Options. The Predefined Options and Values dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure B-2.
- Click Add. The Option Type dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure B-3.
- Set parameters (see Table B-1 for detailed parameter descriptions).
- Click OK.
The Predefined Options and Values dialog box is displayed.
- Click OK.
The DHCP window is displayed.
- Right-click Scope Options and choose Configure Options. The Scope Options dialog box is displayed, as shown in Figure B-4.
- Select 246 ip phone, as shown in Figure B-5.
- In the String value text box, enter the ACS address and type in the following format:
Type=[eSight],Server=[https://192.168.1.13:8444/tr069/services/acs]In this example, the ACS is an eSight server, and https://192.168.1.13:8444/tr069/services/acs is its address.
- Click OK. The configuration is complete, and server configuration information is displayed in the DHCP window.
After the configuration is complete, the DHCP server automatically delivers configurations on the ACS to the endpoint.
