Requirements on Room Layout and Lighting

Requirements on Room Layout and Lighting

When using the endpoint, pay attention to your sitting posture to avoid problems associated with your back. Do not stare at the monitor screen for a long time. This may harm your eyes or blur your vision.

Layout Precautions

  • Ensure that there are no large or moving objects behind you. Otherwise, the video cannot be viewed clearly.
  • Do not use striped patterns as the background.
  • Do not hold a conference in a room that generates a lot of echoing.
  • Do not place the endpoint near a sound source.

Lighting Precautions

To ensure high video quality, do not turn the lens towards bright lights.

Reverberation Technical Requirements

After the conference room is decorated and before the endpoint is installed, the ground noise does not exceed 38 dB and the reverberation time (RT) (T60) is between 0.3s and 0.5s.

  • Ground noise is also known as background noise. Background noise is any noise signal other than those deemed useful or desirable, in an electro-acoustic system. Background noise consists of two parts: noise generated by the acoustic devices and noise generated during audio playing.
  • In a sound field, the time for the sound pressure level (SPL) to attenuate by 60 dB is indicated by T60 (unit: seconds).
