Logging In to the Web Interface

You can remotely manage the endpoint after logging in to the endpoint web interface.


  • The endpoint IP address can be pinged from the local computer by running the ping Endpoint IP address command.
  • Before logging in to the web interface, configure your browser. For details, see Configuring the Browser.
  • The default user name and password of the admin account are admin and Change_Me. The default user name and password of the api account are api and Change_Me. It is recommended that the default passwords of the two accounts be changed at the first-time login to the web interface and be regularly changed afterward. It is also recommended that the passwords be maintained by dedicated personnel.
  • Web login is allowed. For details about how to control the web login permission, see Performing Web Access Control.


  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. In the address box, enter the endpoint IP address, such as
  3. Press Enter.
  4. On the login page shown in Figure 1-4, fill in User name and Password.

    Here, the admin account is used as an example.

    If you forget the password of the admin account, log in to the web interface using the api account and choose System Settings > General > Personal to change the password of the admin account. If the passwords of the admin and api accounts are lost, restore the passwords of both accounts to their defaults by following the instructions in Restoring Default Settings Through the RST Button.

  5. From the Language drop-down list, select a language.
  6. Click Log In.

    The home page is displayed, as shown in Figure 1-5.

    • To ensure data security, after exiting the endpoint web interface, close the browser and delete browser cache.
    • If the computer desktop resolution has been changed, log in to the web interface again.
    • Icons on the home page and shortcut bar of the endpoint web interface can be customized.

      Choose System Settings > Display > User defined and click Desktop Icons to customize the icons on the home page or click Shortcut Bar Icons to customize the icons on the shortcut bar.
