Enabling Password Verification

Enabling Password Verification

To secure your endpoint, it is recommended that you change the login password at the first use and regularly change the password afterward. The new password cannot be the default password or any of the previous five passwords.

When you use the endpoint for the first time, enable password verification to specify whether the default password is changed, whether the password has expired, and whether the new password is the default password or any of the previous five passwords.

  1. Use SSH or Telnet to log in to the endpoint. For details, see Performing SSH Access Control.
  2. Run the mnt debug blevelctrl 1 command and press Enter to enable password verification.

    -> mnt debug blevelctrl 1
    Set BLevelCtrl Flag = 1 success.
