Setting Built-in Camera Parameters

Setting Built-in Camera Parameters

On your endpoint, you can set its built-in camera parameters, including video mode, noise reduction, and video resolution. You can view the video result of your settings on the display connected to your endpoint.

Procedure

  1. Choose Device Control > Device Control and click the Built-in Camera tab.
  2. Set the built-in camera parameters listed in Table 6-3.

    Setting

    Exposure mode

    Specifies the exposure mode of the built-in camera.

    Auto: The built-in camera automatically selects the optimum exposure and white balance settings based on the ambient environment.

    Manual: You must manually set the following exposure and white balance parameters:
    • Brightness gain: adjusts the video brightness.
    • Shutter speed: adjusts the shutter speed.

    The default value is Auto.

    White balance

    Specifies the way to adjust white balance.

    Auto: The system automatically adjusts white balance.

    Manual: You need to manually adjust white balance.

    • Red gain: adjusts the brightness of red signals.
    • Blue gain: adjusts the brightness of blue signals.

    The default value is Auto.

    Video mode

    Specifies the output video display effect.

    • Standard: reproduces video more faithfully.
    • Vivid: delivers brighter video with cooler colors.
    • Natural: delivers video with warmer colors.
    • User defined: delivers video with custom settings. After you select this option, you can set the following parameters:
      • Aperture: sharpens video edges and contours to preserve the impression of clarity and fine details. Over-sharpening will make video less realistic.
      • Brightness: specifies the video output level that changes the brightness of the video displayed on the monitor.
      • Contrast:

        Adjusts color levels to facilitate the distinction between two colors. If the contrast is higher, the difference between the light and dark extremes of a color is more distinct.

      • Hue: adjusts the video color.
      • Saturation: adjusts the grayscale of each color. The higher the saturation, the brighter a color.

    The default value is Standard.

    Noise reduction

    Removes noise artifacts from video. A larger value causes the video to have less noise but detail may also be lost.

    The default value is Low.

    Video resolution

    Specifies the video output resolution for the camera.

    The default value is 1080p 30Hz.

    Flickering suppression

    Specifies whether to enable the flickering suppression function. Video images will flicker if the camera's refresh rate differs from the power frequency. After the flickering suppression function is enabled, video image flickering will be eliminated.
    NOTE:
    This parameter is available only after Exposure mode is set to Auto. If Flickering suppression is set to Enable, you also need to set Power frequency.

    The default value is Enable.

    Power frequency

    Specifies the power frequency of the country where you reside.

    The default value is 50Hz.
