Synchronizing a Consistency Group

Synchronizing a Consistency Group

This operation enables you to synchronize all remote replication pairs in the consistency group. The synchronization ensures the consistency of data on the local and remote ends of each remote replication pair at the synchronization point and protects the data validity of volumes.

  • You have created a consistency group whose running status is not Invalid.
  • There are remote replication pairs in the consistency group.
  • The consistency group is not Synchronizing.
  • The capacity of the primary and secondary ends of the consistency group is the same.
  • You have enabled protection for secondary resource.

    1. In FusionStorage Block Self-Maintenance Platform, choose DR Service > dr. On the DR Cluster page, at the row where the cluster resides, click Manage Remote Replication, and select Consistency Group Management.

The Consistency Group Management page is displayed.

    2. In the operation column of the consistency group, choose More > Synchronize Consistency Group.
    3. Click OK.
    4. Split the remote replication pair as prompted.
