Performing Primary/Secondary Switchover of a Consistency Group


This operation enables you to perform a primary/secondary switchover for a remote replication consistency group. After the switchover, the primary and secondary ends are switched over.


  • You have created a consistency group whose running status is Split.
  • There are remote replication pairs in the consistency group.
  • You have created consistency snapshots for all volumes in the secondary consistency group.
  • You have disabled protection for secondary resource.


    1. In FusionStorage Block Self-Maintenance Platform, choose DR Service > dr. On the DR Cluster page, at the row where the cluster resides, click Manage Remote Replication, and select Consistency Group Management.

      The Consistency Group Management page is displayed.

    2. In the operation column of the consistency group, choose More > Perform Primary/Secondary Switchover.
    3. Click OK.
    4. Split the remote replication pair as prompted.
