Forcibly Starting a HyperMetro Pair

Forcibly Starting a HyperMetro Pair

Scenarios

If a system fault occurs or the quorum server fails to implement arbitration, you can forcibly start the local or remote volume to provide services after the fault is rectified.

When static priority is used for the HyperMetro arbitration or multiple faults occurred on the HyperMetro service, the preferred site fails and the non-preferred site cannot automatically take over the HyperMetro service. In this case, the HyperMetro service stops, and you need to forcibly start the non-preferred site to restore the HyperMetro service.

Prerequisites

  • You have logged in to FusionStorage Block Self-Maintenance Platform.
  • The running status of the HyperMetro pair is Paused or To Be Synchronized, and the local data status is No Access.

Procedure

    1. On FusionStorage Block Self-Maintenance Platform, choose DR Service > dr > DR Cluster, click Manage HyperMetro in the row where the cluster resides.
    2. Locate the target HyperMetro pair, click More in the Operation column, and choose Force to Start.

A warning dialog box is displayed.

    3. Confirm the operation and click OK.

A dialog box is displayed indicating that the operation is successful.

    4. Click OK.
