Creating a HyperMetro Domain

Creating a HyperMetro Domain

After a remote device and a quorum server are created, create a HyperMetro domain for the remote device, local device, and the quorum server. During the HyperMetro creation, relationships among local devices, remote devices, and quorum servers can be determined by HyperMetro domains.

You can create only one quorum server for a HyperMetro domain. Perform this operation only for the local FusionStorage Block system.

  • You have logged in to FusionStorage Block Self-Maintenance Platform.
  • At least one remote device has been created in the system.
  • If the quorum server needs to be configured for the HyperMetro domain, ensure that both the local and remote devices have added the quorum server.

Log in to the quorum server. In the CLI of the quorum server, switch to a directory, run the qsadmin command to open the quorum server software, and run the show server_ip command to check the statuses of the local and remote devices. If both status values are Established, the quorum server is successfully added.

    Create a HyperMetro domain.

    1. On FusionStorage Block Self-Maintenance Platform, choose DR Service > dr > DR Cluster, click Manage HyperMetro in the row where the cluster resides.
    2. Choose HyperMetro Domain Management, and click Create.
    3. Set parameters for the HyperMetro domain.

Table 2-18 lists the configuration parameters.
