Vibration and Shock

Vibration and Shock

Vibration and shock requirements must be met so that storage systems can correctly work or be properly preserved.

Table 2-2 lists the vibration and shock requirements of storage systems.

Table 2-2 Vibration and shock requirements of the bay

Parameter

Requirement

Operating variation (random vibration)

5 Hz to 10 Hz: +12 dB/Oct; 10 Hz to 50 Hz: 0.04 m2/s3; 50 Hz to 100 Hz: -12 dB/Oct

Operating variation (sinusoidal vibration)

5 Hz to 9 Hz, 1.2 mm; 9 Hz to 200 Hz, 4 m/s2

Non-operating vibration

Power spectrum density: 5 Hz to 30 Hz, 0.00052 g2/Hz; 100 Hz to 500 Hz, 0.0001 g2/Hz

Operating shock

Peak acceleration: 30 m/s2; pulse duration: 11 ms

Non-operating shock

8 g/15 ms (peak acceleration/pulse width)
