This document is applicable to OceanStor Dorado3000 V3, Dorado5000 V3, Dorado6000 V3, and Dorado18000 V3. It describes the basic storage services and explains how to configure and manage them.

Viewing Storage Pool Information

Viewing Storage Pool Information

This operation enables you to view the information about all the storage pools on a storage system.


At least one storage pool has been created.


  1. Choose Provisioning > Storage Pool.
  2. View storage pool information in the upper left area.

    Table 5-6 describes the related parameters.

    Name of a storage pool.




    ID of a storage pool.



    Health Status

    Health status of a storage pool.



    Running Status

    Running status of a storage pool.



    Owning Disk Domain

    Name of the disk domain to which the storage pool belongs.



    Total Capacity

    Total capacity of a storage pool.

    Used capacity of a storage pool.


    It is recommended that the allocated capacity of the storage pool not exceed 85% of the total capacity. If the allocated capacity exceeds 85%, you are advised to expand the storage pool.


    12.000 TB


    Free capacity of a storage pool.


    8.000 TB

    Data Protection Capacity

    Capacity used for data protection.


    For example, if snapshots are created for LUNs in the storage pool, the space occupied by the active snapshots is the data protection capacity.


    1.000 GB

    Data Reduction Ratio

    Ratio of the total volume of data written to the storage pool to the storage pool's used capacity.



    Thin LUN Space Saving Rate

    Calculation formula:

    Thin LUN space saving rate = (Remaining thin LUN capacity/Total thin LUN capacity of the storage pool) x 100%

    Remaining thin LUN capacity = Total thin LUN capacity of the storage pool - Used thin LUN capacity



    Overall Space Saving Ratio

    Calculation formula: Capacity configured for all LUNs/Available capacity of all LUNs x Data reduction ratio.


    If the percentage of all LUNs' available capacity to their total configured capacity is lower than 1%, the available capacity is considered as 1% of the configured capacity.



    Used Subscribed Capacity

    Capacity occupied by data before deduplication and compression, excluding the data protection capacity.

    Unused Subscribed Capacity

    Total remaining capacities of all LUNs in a storage pool.


    3.000 GB

    Subscribed Capacity

    Calculation formula:

    Total subscribed capacity = Preset capacities of all the LUNs + Capacities of all the LUNs' activated snapshots in a storage pool.

  3. Select a storage pool and view the information about LUNs in the storage pool in the lower area.
