Based on the CLI provided by the DeviceManager, this document describes how to use various commands classified by functions and how to set the CLI and manage the storage system through these commands.

add remote_device link fc


The add remote_device link fc command is used to add Fibre Channel links for a remote device. Run this command to connect the storage system to a remote device through Fibre Channel links.


add remote_device link fc fc_link_id=?






ID of a Fibre Channel link.

To obtain the value, run "show remote_device link".



Usage Guidelines



To add Fibre Channel link "0" to a remote device, run the following command.

admin:/>add remote_device link fc fc_link_id=0 
WARNING: You are about to add a remote device link. 
Before performing this operation, check whether the local port and remote port connected by the link are host service ports. If yes, the replication link may disconnect. 
Suggestion: Before performing this operation, plan the network and ensure that the local port and remote port connected by the link are not host service ports.
